Ambassador of India H.E. Sibi George visited and conducted a tour of City Center Manara Mall branch on 4 August, at the invitation of City Center Hypermarket Group. The ambassador was received upon arrival by Chief Operating Officer Ajay Goel, the Director, Strategy & Business Development, Nasser Al-Ghanim, and other top management officials of City Center Kuwait.
Following a welcome ceremony and a traditional cake-cutting event, the diplomatic dignitary was taken on a tour of the Al-Manara Mall outlet by Mr. Goel and other officials of the hypermarket. During the tour, the Indian ambassador was familiarized with the wide range and variety of products across various sections in the hypermarket, including Fresh Foods, Electronics, Homeware and Toys sections. He was also briefed on the variety of imported items available at City Center from around the world, and the exclusive products carried by the hypermarket from brands such as the UK’s Waitrose and the Australian Organic Larder.
While touring the hypermarket aisles, the Indian ambassador was keenly interested in knowing more about the various Indian fresh foods, grocery items and other goods that were on the hypermarket’s shelves. He was also duly impressed on learning of the extensive range of Indian fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as the variety of Indian food products regularly imported by City Center, including popular items such as Basmati rice, cereals, spices, pickles, sweets and ready-to-cook meals.
The ambassador was also informed about the several local and international franchises operating within the hypermarket, such as the Indian restaurant chain, Mughal Mahal, where the ambassador spent an extra few minutes during his tour. He also visited the local Xcite Electronic store, mobile operator Ooredoo, the Japanese value-store Daiso, as well as UK brand Costa Coffee and the US fast-food giant McDonalds. The Indian envoy was also updated on the new online webstore accessible at www.cchyper.com and through mobile apps available on Google Play for android devices and at the App Store for iOS devices. The new online services offered by the hypermarket enable customers to shop from the extensive products on the hypermarket’s shelves, while sitting in the comfort of their home.
As part of the visit, the ambassador was briefed by Mr. Goel about the growth and development of City Center Hypermarket in Kuwait since its inception in 1999, and about the hypermarket’s commitment to offer customers in the country with a truly unique family shopping experience. The visiting envoy was also informed that City Center currently operates seven hypermarket outlets in Kuwait at Bneid Al Qar, Dasma, Shuwaikh, Salmiya, Dajeej, Jahra, and Fahaheel, which offer shoppers with the largest range and widest variety of products.
It was also explained to the Indian dignitary that over the years, the hypermarket chain has ensured customer loyalty, success and popularity with its weekly value promotions and its ‘Mega Value’ shopping bonanza that provides shoppers from all segments of society with the widest range of high-quality products at very competitive prices and with outstanding customer service.
