Children below 18 and pregnant women exempted from
vaccination requirement while flying into Kuwait

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mustafa Redha received the Ambassador of India H E Sibi George, and his accompanying delegation on Tuesday, in the presence of the Director of the Department of International Health Relations, Dr. Rehab Al-Watian, Al-Rai reported.

The meeting discussed prospects and visions for strengthening India-Kuwait relations in the health field and recruitment of Medical staff, including doctors, nursing, and technical staff from India.

The meeting also discussed the return procedure of those stranded due to measures to contain the Corona pandemic, Dr. Redha assured the Ambassador that the processing of the vaccination certificates uploaded by Indian nationals has been expedited and issues, if any, related to QR code scanning will also be addressed on a real-time basis.

Dr. Redha also clarified that those exempted from vaccination requirements include children below 18 years of age and pregnant women.

The Meeting made good progress on the issues of the return of stranded Indians. According to sources, a clear procedure on the direct entry of all Indians may be expected in Kuwait.

The meeting also discussed strategies for vaccination against the emerging coronavirus and awareness-raising.
