The suspect in the murder of an unidentified Asian, who was killed in the free zone area, was arrested after investigations were conducted. The victim’s body left a bloody trail after being dragged for about 50 meters. Under interrogation, the Indian suspect admitted to killing the man over a financial dispute as the victim owed him more than 1,000 dinars, and kept on postponing the date of repayment.
He admitted to hitting the victim on the head more than once with an iron pipe and battered his body with the same pipe. Personnel from the Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have recovered the murder weapon. The suspect has been referred to the concerned authorities.
