After remaining suspended for 2 years in wake of Covid-19 pandemic, India is all set to resume scheduled international flights from March 27.

International flights were suspended on March 23, 2020 when Covid cases started being detected globally.

The centre has attempted to resume international flights on earlier occassions as well but rising Covid cases hampered its decision each time. A gradual resumption was announced from December 15, 2021 but the date was postponed due to onset of Omicron Covid variant.

Talks were also on to resume flights from March 15 but the amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine forced government to extended flight ban “till further orders”.
