The car tire market witnessed an increase of between 5 and 15 percent, according to its quality, sizes and place of manufacture.

A local Arabic daily visited tire distributors to know the reasons for the increase and they attributed the rise in prices to the increase in cost of rubber and oil prices, and the energy sources in general at the global level, in addition to difficulties in manufacturing and the high cost of shipping.

The distributors stressed the availability of all types of tires of different sizes and types, they mentioned that the options are diverse and many for the consumer, especially since different countries manufacture tires, including America, China, Japan, Malaysia, India and Korea, while the countries where raw materials are available are multiple, especially Malaysia, South Africa and Indonesia.

They stressed that the rise in prices is not only locally but also global, given the successive crises that the world is going through that have affected supply chains and energy prices.
