The QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) international classification of the best universities around the world for the year 2023 revealed that Kuwait University continued its decline and did not make any progress, and remained at the bottom of the list (ranked 1001 – 1200), in contradiction to what was previously announced by the university, regarding it taking measures and actions to improve the rating.

The ranking, which was announced on June 8, during the EduData Summit, in New York, United States, includes the ranking of the best 1,500 ranked universities from 100 countries around the world for the year 2023.

According to the international rankings, the American University of the Middle East (AUM) maintained its first place in Kuwait, and remarkably ahead of the rest of the universities, ranking 701-750 globally.

The chart available on the official website of QS (Topuniversities.com) indicated that AUM advanced remarkably from 801 – 1000 in 2021, to 751 – 800 in 2022, and reached 701 – 750 in 2023.
