A team from IDAK (Indian Dentists Alliance in Kuwait- Affiliated to Kuwait Dental Association) Council members led by Dr. Rajesh Alexander, President met with the new Ambassador of India H.E. Sibi George.

Dr. Rajesh Alexander highlighted the various charity activities and Contact Tracing initiatives organized by IDAK in association with IDF, Ministry of Health & Ministry of Public Health, during this Covid 19 Pandemic. Dr. Jacob Lonappan General Secretary briefed about the events for the next two years and presented the Ambassador with a copy of the latest Oral Health Guide.

Dr. Prashanthy R Prasad Vice President and Dr. Thomas Thomas President-Elect pointed out the ongoing issues faced by members of the organization in Kuwait, including Circular 280/2009 of MOHE, MDS Colleges Accreditation, Equivalency verification by MOHE, including difficulty in getting appointments with MOHE. Dr. Ranjitha R S Joint Secretary and Dr. Ajay Vazhiyodan, Treasurer explained the various hardships faced by the Indian Community in general that was brought to attention during the Contact Tracing Initiative. HE Ambassador deputed Mr. Fahad Ahmad Khan Suri First Secretary to follow up on the aforementioned issues pertaining to equivalency and 2009 Dental College Accreditation.

The Ambassador appreciated IDAK for their unity and their contributions towards the Indian Community in Kuwait. Finally, Dr. Rajesh Alexander President thanked the Ambassador on behalf of IDAK for providing the meeting opportunity. The meeting was conducted while following a strict COVID Protocol.
