ICSK Khaitan organized a farewell to the outgoing batch of class XII on Thursday 2nd February. The event began with recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the lamp lighting and national anthems of Kuwait and India.
A semi-classical dance performed by the dancing damsels of ICSK Khaitan followed by a warm welcome speech by the school Principal K.G. Shirsath. He showered his blessings and best wishes to the young aspirants and encouraged them to move ahead in life with perseverance and confidence.The benign presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Amit Bhatnagar, Cosmetic Surgeon at Royal Hayat Hospital Kuwait, shared his valuable advice with young minds. He advised the students on how to balance life and achieve success.
Five special awards were presented to the outgoing students every year for their excellence in five different areas. For the current batch, The Best Academic Scholar award was presented to Joel Philip, Best Artist to Dias Jose, Best Sportsperson to Usman Tanveer, Best Leader, Manav Muraleedharan and Best All Rounder award to Aysha Manal.
Members of the Board of Trustees, ICSK – Honorary Chairman Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Vice Chairman Mr. Vinukumar Nair and Hon. Secretary Mr. Amer Mohammed graced the occasion with their gracious presence.
Principals of all ICSK Schools, Vice-principals and Deputy Vice Principals also attended the function with their eminent presence. On behalf of all parents, Ms. Nameera Mohammed thanked the whole ICSK family and enlightened the students with her inspirational speech. She advised them to believe in themselves and work hard.
The valedictory message by the Supervisor, Mrs. Sumitha Shanmughan, shared her memories and asked students to make a continuous effort towards their goals until they achieve it completely. Students’ representatives Mohammed Abdullah, Benedict John and Liana Wilson expressed their gratitude to the school staff for guiding them in the right direction throughout their school years.
Mementoes to all students were given away by the dignitaries as a token of well wishes and blessings for their future journey. Showers of blessing poured through a touching video by teachers showed all the warmth and love they have for their beloved ones.
In the exhortation, Vice Principal Mrs. Sushmeeta Prakash, incited the outgoing batch to optimize their goals and never settle for less. She also urged them to strive hard and to have patience and passion to reach for the stars. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by the Secondary Supervisor Ms. Manjumol Vinod.
