Indian Community Support Group (ICSG) handed over the first consignment of Oxygen Cylinders from Kuwait to India as part of its outreach efforts to help alleviate the shortage of oxygen in India due to the sudden spurt in coronavirus cases.

600 loaded oxygen cylinders were handed over to the Embassy of India to be dispatched as part of a first consignment that is expected to reach India this week and handed over to the Red Cross, which is overseeing the distribution to various areas facing the shortage.

ICSG has sprung into action and brought together various Indian associations under one umbrella to coordinate relief efforts and dispatch much needed oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators at this critical time when India is facing a sudden surge in coronavirus infections and an immediate shortage of oxygen.

Several generous associations and individuals have come forward to support this cause and are directly involved in procuring the much needed medical supplies to help their countrymen back home. Red Cross which is the authorised and approved agency by the Government of India to receive the supplies have expressed their readiness to distribute to needy and deserving people.
