The office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Kuwait received one million Euro from the German Foreign Office for their humanitarian aid work in Yemen. German Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Karlfried Bergner visited the ICRC office in Jabriya on 24 April, to meet with the staff responsible for the entire Arabian Peninsula.
The ICRC is one of the few organizations that undertake the important mission to provide food, clean water and health structures to people in need in Yemen. With over 24 million in need of aid, Yemen is the world’s single largest humanitarian crisis.
