The future of a nation is always determined how its people remember their most important historical events. Anniversaries of joyous historical moments have a special role in the common memory: through these special dates in the calendar we can remind ourselves how precious freedom is and how thankful we have to be to live in continuous freedom and prosperity.
Hungary celebrated the 30th anniversary of the end of the Soviet-style dictatorship and the proclamation of the democratic Republic in 2019, just like Kuwait celebrates the 30th anniversary of the liberation in these days. Both the Hungarian and Kuwaiti nations went through historical difficulties and have emerged stronger from these crises that make us similar in many ways.
On this unique anniversary let me express my sincere congratulations towards the freedom-loving Kuwaiti people on the occasion of the Kuwaiti National Day, furthermore, I wish good health and continuous successes to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
