The technical committee that was formed to investigate the Ahmadi refinery fire on January 14, which killed 5 workers, has submitted its report which points in the direction of several technical reasons.

A local Arabic daily quoting sources from the committee said that among the reasons were human errors, which necessitated taking administrative measures against the concerned officials.

The sources indicated that the report called on the officials of the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, managing members and chief executives, in cooperation with the CEO of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, to recommend the formation of an administrative investigation committee, pointing out that administrative sanctions may include senior officials.
