Since debuting its first tablet more than 10 years ago, Huawei has remained at the forefront of the tablet market worldwide. The recently launched HUAWEI MatePad enables consumers to harness smart productivity and creativity better than ever before, whether for work or study.
The new HUAWEI MatePad is an all-rounded tablet with a 10.4inch 2K FullView Display and a quad-speakers system tuned by Harman Kardon for an immersive sound experience. The tablet is also compatible with the HUAWEI M-Pencil Package (2nd generation) and comes with futuristic Super Device features in addition to a wide range of notetaking apps.
Fully immersive
A feast for the eyes, the HUAWEI MatePad boasts a HUAWEI FullView Display with an 84% screen-to-body ratio. This allows users to fully immerse themselves with no distractions. The slim bezels provide a more balanced look and naturally direct consumers’ attention to the screen content. The new and improved HUAWEI MatePad is perfect for digital native students and hybrid working professionals alike. With a thickness of just 7.45mm and a weight of 450g, it is perfectly portable and accessible for all. Pushing the boundaries further, the HUAWEI MatePad comes with a quad-channel, quad-speaker sound system and professional tuning by Harman Kardon.
Uninterrupted creativity
How a user interacts with a tablet is key. With the HUAWEI MatePad, a smart keyboard with Bluetooth connectivity enables efficient input. The keyboard features 1.3mm key travel to ensure a comfortable and responsive typing experience. Even if typing with two hands for a long period of time, the keyboard ensures a relaxing user experience.
The new HUAWEI MatePad is also equipped with a new and upgraded second-gen HUAWEI M-Pencil, bringing users a more realistic writing experience. The second-gen HUAWEI M-Pencil supports handwriting as an input method across all system apps. Users can use the stylus to input text near the text field. For instance, they can handwrite text in the Messages app or the name of a song in the HUAWEI Music app. This means when the user is working on something using the HUAWEI M-Pencil, they don’t have to switch to a keyboard input method. Instead, they can directly use the stylus to write, so the creation process doesn’t get interrupted.
Users can also arrange images and text conveniently on the HUAWEI MatePad by selecting snippets from images and text with the new-gen stylus. By tapping the stylus twice or swiping diagonally from the top-right corner of the screen, students in class, or workers in a meeting, can choose the Take snippet mode and Annotate mode. This means no break in concentration, allowing users to focus on the job at hand.
The App Multiplier and Multi Window functions bring a whole new interactive user experience to the tablet. The Multi-Window makes operation easier by opening up to 4 windows of different apps simultaneously, where the App Multiplier addresses most apps that don’t support landscape mode to fully utilise apps when the tablet is in the landscape mode.
Unlike a typical split-screen, App Multiplier is the only one to offer a split-screen of the same app. In landscape mode, different information from the app can be displayed in the left and right split screens, fully utilising the tablet’s large screen. This means that you can work on two tasks at the same time. Imagine when shopping online how useful it would be to compare the prices of two items on two separate websites. You’d never miss a bargain again! Talking of apps, the HUAWEI MatePad comes with a rich software ecosystem that includes but is not limited to apps such as FilmoraGo, Flexcil, and Jnotes.
Despite being thin and light, the HUAWEI MatePad is still equipped with a huge 7,250mAh battery that can play up to 12 hours of continuous local 1080p HD video on a single charge.
Huawei tablets are known for high-quality entertainment and audio-visual capabilities. It also has three microphones and Huawei’s noise reduction algorithms that can distinguish between voices and noise in real-time, filtering out the latter for the best experience. This means a noise-free video conference or online class experience, even in a traditionally noisy environment like a café.
The best of both worlds
The features in the new HUAWEI MatePad make it the best of both worlds. It is the perfect fit for students who need to take notes and draw up brainstorm charts, as well as being ideal for hybrid workers who need a tablet for spontaneous online meetings, data management and document reviews.
