The Kuwaiti Federation of Hookah Cafés called for the necessity of submitting recommendations regarding reopening hookah service in restaurants and cafes by the competent committee, Al Qabas reported.

The federation said that the Corona pandemic led to the implementation of strict decisions by the Council of Ministers, restaurants, and cafes that provide hookah service were closed since March 2020, after a period of time, restaurants are conducting business but not Hookah cafes.

The union pointed out that this led to the financial insolvency of the owners of restaurants and cafes and financial losses, which exceed one billion Kuwaiti dinars, as debts resulting from the accumulated rents and the payment of bank loan installments.

The financial inability to pay the salaries of the workers and the accumulation of debts harm the family.
