The Ministry of Health has stopped receiving requests for transfer by its employees after the prescribed period has ended based on the decision issued by the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed, which states the Ministry receives the requests for transfer only once a year in April.
A local Arabic daily quoting the Ministry of Health had said only requests submitted on the prescribed form would be accepted, which identifies the ‘to and from’ location with the approval of the concerned assistant undersecretary, provided the request was submitted during the first 15 days of April.
The ministry has also formed a committee to look into requests for transfers of employees between central departments and health regions, and decided on the requests according to the work need, in line with the nature of health facilities, whether transferred from or to them, and in a manner that achieves equal distribution in the sectors of the ministry in coordination with the concerned authorities in the ministry.
The committee determines the extent to which the employee requesting the transfer will benefit from the authority he is transferred to in light of his/her job title, qualifications and academic certificates obtained to maintain good service performance and the interest of the work.
