The Health Minister Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah praised a recent amendment to a law that allows for a mother to consent to operations on her children, and in critical cases, doctors can perform operations without consent.
Health Minister said in a tweet, “Thank God, today the National Assembly approved the amendment of the health guardianship law so that the approval can be granted by the guardian of the child or his or her mother. In emergency situations that require immediate surgical intervention and there are conditions that do not permit approval to be taken, then the doctor can intervene without prior approval. ”
