Health Minister Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah

Amid optimistic indications of the return to normal life, in light of the decrease in the number of new Coronavirus infections and reduced number of patients in hospitals and intensive care rooms, and the escalation of the vaccination rate Minister Sheikh Basil Al-Sabah said that Kuwait’s health system faces some challenges in the next stage, Al Jarida daily reported.

Al-Sabah said, in a press statement, that the most prominent of these challenges is the return of students to school, in addition to what the future may bring from new mutants of the virus.

Regarding the expatriates of high-risk countries, he stressed that they can leave Kuwait and return to it easily, according to health requirements, including that each of them has received two doses of an approved vaccine inside Kuwait, and for those who received vaccinations outside Kuwait, their certificates must be approved electronically through the Ministry’s website Electronic health within 5 working days, and then they enter the country without difficulties.

The Minister of Health explained that the current epidemiological situation in the world is unstable, and the virus is spreading throughout, stressing that the World Health Organization is impressed by Kuwait’s performance in dealing with the epidemic, especially with the large number of tests that reach 16,000 swabs per day.

He reiterated the need to adhere to health precautions to prevent this virus and its mutations, the most important of which is receiving a vaccination, distancing and avoiding unsafe gatherings, praying to God Almighty to perpetuate the blessing of health and wellness for everyone, and protect homeland Kuwait, from all evil.
