The lockdown of the Hawally area will continue until further notice, while the evaluation of health conditions in the area is ongoing. The lockdown areas are undergoing constant evaluation to asses the health conditions of the residents, on the rate of coronavirus infection transmission and percentage of infection cases based on the percentage of daily smear tests. Aside from regular evaluations, there are other criteria which determine the easing of lockdown measures, or moving from one stage to another.
The plan is that some lockdown areas including the Hawalli region that once they begin showing a decrease in coronavirus cases, there will be no need for quarantine anymore, which is similar to the procedures which has been carried out in some other countries.
