The Operations and Traffic Sector carried out a large campaign in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area that lasted for about 4 hours and included a large number of parts of the province. A security source said that the campaign specifically targeted violations of parking vehicles on the sidewalk, obstructing traffic.
A local Arabic daily quoting the Ministry of Interior sources said 189 violations were issued for motorists for parking on paved sidewalks and parking in places not designated for vehicles. The traffic sector also confiscated plates from 42 violating vehicle.
On the other hand, the traffic police carried out a campaign on some roads targeting home delivery motorbikes to ensure they are not violators of law.
