Statistics issued by the General Traffic Department show 39,797 traffic citations were issued last week against reckless motorists, negligent motorists and people wanted by law, in addition to impounding 57 vehicles and towing them to the Ministry of Interior garage.
A security source told Al-Anba securitymen deployed in all governorates upon instructions of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant-General Faisal Al-Nawaf, and under the direct supervision of Major-General Jamal Al-Sayegh, managed to arrest 36 people, 40 juveniles and four persons who were wanted in connection with financial cases.
