On the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the National Day of the State of Kuwait and the 31st anniversary of the liberation of Kuwait, I would like to extend to H.H. the Amir, H.H. the Crown Prince, the Government and the brotherly People of Kuwait our warmest congratulations.
Greece has been among the first countries that recognized the independence of Kuwait and has participated in the Great Coalition for the liberation of It. It is well known that Greece and the State of Kuwait, in the course of our shared history since antiquity, have developed strong bonds of friendship, based on mutual understanding and respect.
I am delighted to acknowledge the very important role that the State of Kuwait plays on the world stage, promoting peace, stability and prosperity. A staunch supporter of humanitarian efforts, the State of Kuwait relentlessly advocates dialogue and peace, following a policy characterized by prudence, moderation and respect of International Law.
