Grand Hyper Supermarket, a popular destinations for Filipino and Asian shoppers in Kuwait reached out to the Overseas Welfare Workers Administration and Embassy of the Philippines to its relief good fund drive. The donations were composed of boxes of noodles, assorted canned goods and bags of rice to be distributed to Filipinos in Kuwait.

In a brief statement by Charge D’ Affaires of the Philippines Charleson Hermosura, he thanked Grand Hyper Supermarket for its generosity and kindness during this difficult time and assured that all goods will be distributed to the Filipinos as soon as possible.  Vice Consul Adrian Baccay who facilitated the request for donation also extended his gratitude to officials of the supermarket.

The relief fund drive for Filipinos in Kuwait started on the 5th of April and several individuals and companies have extended donations in forms of goods and food. Members and leaders of different Filipino organizations have been the distributing arm of OWWA to reach out to the Filipinos in different areas in Kuwait.
