Grand Hyper, among the leading hypermarket chains in GCC, opened its 64th outlet in Hawally Block 10, Al Adasani Complex in Othman Street on single basement floor in an area spanning 20,000 sq ft. on 10 September. The new store had a soft launch without regular inaugural celebrations due to Covid 19 pandemic. The objective to open a new store during the coronavirus scare was to make available food and other necessary products for customers at their vicinity, as many customers prefer to travel within their locality for shopping during this time.
The new Grand Hyper has opened abiding to the guidelines and safety measures laid down by the Ministry of Health, Kuwait. Grand has taken all precautionary measures ensuring the safety of customers visiting the store which involves regular cleaning and sanitization of all customer touchpoints, mandatory rule of temperature check for entry, wearing masks, and gloves at all times.
Grand Hypermarket has a strong reputation and trust in Kuwait market as a brand for providing the customers with a wide range of products including foodstuffs, electronic appliances, home appliances, footwear, health and beauty items, and fashion wears and accessories from across the globe at the most affordable price. With 20 stores covering all major locations in Kuwait, Grand hyper is now a household name in Kuwait, serving 60,000 plus customers daily.
This is the 20th store of Grand in Kuwait which also happens to be their 3rd outlet in Hawally. Grand already has 2 other Hypermarkets in this area, one in Ibn Khaldun street and the other in Tunis street. This outlet was planned to open before the pandemic in March 2020 but was put on hold due to coronavirus outbreak. Now despite the ongoing pandemic Grand management has decided to open the new store primarily to be present closer to the customer for their convenience during these difficult times. Grand Hyper Hawally store inauguration was jointly done by Grand Hyper Kuwait Chief patron Mr. Jassim Mohammad Al Sharrah, Capt. Saad Mohamed Hamadah, Regional Director Mr. Ayoob Kechery, CEO Mr. Mohamad Suneer, COO Mr. Rahil Bassim, General Manager Thahseer Ali along with other dignitaries and customers at 6 am on 10th Sept. 2020 at Al Adasani complex, Hawally block 10.
