Grand Hyper, one of the leading hypermarket chains in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, has opened its 61st outlet in the region, and its 19th store in Kuwait, at Salmiya in the Dana Center located along Salem Mubarak Street, on 22 January.

Inauguration of the new store, which is spread across an area of 22,000 square feet, was held in the presence of the Chief Patron of Grand Hyper in Kuwait, Shaikh Dawood Dawood Salman Al Sabah, Chairman Grand Hyper, Kuwait, Jassim Mohamed Al Sharrah, the Managing Director, Kuwait, Dr. Anvar Ameen, the Regional Director, Kuwait, Ayyoob Kachery, Director, Regency Group, Dubai Ahmed N.V., Director, Grand Hyper, Kuwait, Dr. Abdul Fathah, the Chief Executive Officer, Kuwait, Mohammed Suneer, the Chief Operating Officer, Kuwait, Rahil Bassim K. the General Manager, Kuwait, Thehaseer Ali, and the Business Development Manager, Kuwait, Sanin Mannil.

Speaking on the occasion, the MD Mr. Ameen said, “It gives us much pleasure to announce the opening of our new store at Salmiya which is yet another milestone achievement of Grand Hyper. The CEO Mr. Mohammed then noted that the new store at Salmiya is a New Year’s gift from the Group to the people of Kuwait, and is located in a prime location so as to cater to residents from in and around the Salmiya area.

The COO, Mr. Bassim, added that the new milestone achieved is just because of the focus Grand Hyper has to sourcing the best products from around the world and bringing it under one roof and making it available to customers at a very competitive price.

For his part the GM Mr. Ali, pointed out that the new store was part of the hypermarket’s expansion plan, with the vision of having a Grand Hyper store presence at every nook and corner of the country enabling customers to reach the store based on their convenience.
