Heads of Govt of India Public Sector Undertakings of India operating in Kuwait had an exclusive meeting with Sibi George, His Excellency Ambassador of India to Kuwait. LIC of India, New India Assurance, Air India, Oriental Insurance, Telecommunications Consultants India and LIC Housing Finance, which are Govt of India owned Public sector organizations, are functioning in Kuwait providing different services to the residents of Kuwait.
At the outset the team extended a warm welcome to Ambassador, a special handmade welcome card was presented to welcome him, which was exclusively designed for the occasion by Neetu Bhargav, spouse of Neeraj Bhargav.
A formal introduction was provided by the team with their brief profiles. In his address to the visiting team, H E Ambassador gave a brief introduction of himself and his future plan of action. He expressed great respects to the host country, and was keen to explore new avenues to strengthen the relations between both the friendly nations. He interacted with each PSU head and made himself aware of their functioning and scope of operations. All the team members gave a detailed account of their working and about the challenges being met due to the onset of the pandemic. H E expressed his great desire to work closely with the PSUs as they are considered as the extended arms of the Embassy.
An elaborate discussion was held on various matters concerned with the well-being of the Indian diaspora in Kuwait. PSU heads offered various suggestions and assured fullest cooperation from their end. The team comprised of Anish Agarwal, Head, TCIL, Devesh Kumar, Country Manager, LIC International, Ram Mohan Reddy, Chief Operating Officer, New India Assurance, Anil Parashar, Resident Manager, Oriental Insurance, Neeraj Bhargav, Country Head, LICHFL and Sanjeev Suri, Country Manager, Air India.
The meeting was conducted with proper precautions as per the prescribed regulations. Meeting concluded with vote of Thanks.
