The state authorities expect to fill about 30 vacant senior positions by next December as part of an urgent and well-defined government plan for the functioning of the ministries without any hindrances.

Speaking of the increase in vacant positions in most state institutions, local Arabic daily quoting sources said, this situation is caused by the resignation or forcing into retirement some employees who had reached the retirement age.

The sources said the government has a plan to complete these procedures before the end of the current year by filling senior positions in most ministries and other government institutions.

The sources added, December 2022 will be decisive in terms of filling vacant positions according to a mechanism that guarantees the selection of competencies, accelerating development, implementing faltering projects and achieving the requirements of the stage.

The sources justified the delay in filling the vacancies for a number of reasons, including the “conflict of interests” which was the most prominent, in addition to the failure of some of the selected personalities to pass the required tests, but many obstacles have now been overcome.
