The Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Affairs, Mazen Al-Nahedh, announced 262 government services will be available solely on the Sahel application.
Al-Nahedh told Al-Rai daily that the success of the application has been the basic building block in achieving the goals of digital transformation in accordance with the National Development Plan of the State of Kuwait, Vision 2035, as the number of its users exceeded one million, who completed about 8.610 million services, and received more than 29 million notifications and 17.615 million statements.
He indicated that the number of entities participating in the application is 28, providing 277 services, leaving approximately 400 electronic services with those entities, which have not been converted to “Sahel”; and added that the step comes as a continuation of reaping the fruits of success, and is very supportive of launching the application in completing transactions, without reviewing government agencies, as this will have a great impact in directing the different segments of society to electronic dealing in completing transactions, and on the other hand, easing pressure on government agencies and preventing wasting time in completing transactions manually despite their electronic availability, through the Sahel application.
This is in addition to the side benefits that will be achieved from reducing traffic congestion and directing work energies in each side to other businesses to make the best use of them.
