Although Kuwait recorded two deaths and 2,820 new cases of corona infections yesterday, 2,999 cases today, which is seen as an unprecedented rise in infections recorded since the outbreak of the epidemic, government sources said there is a tendency to reduce the period of quarantine for people infected with virus and those who come in contact with them.

The sources explained to Al-Qabas this has been recommended by the health authorities recently to the Ministerial Committee for Corona Emergencies, stressing that the duration of the reduction period will differ for those who are vaccinated and those who are not.

Regarding the proposed period of isolation or confinement, the sources indicated that the recommendation includes several proposals that are applicable globally, and the Council of Ministers will adopt one of the proposals, or its approval will be postponed to a later time. It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health imposes a home quarantine for a period of 10 days for the infected and 14 days for those who come in contact.
