Users have reported google and its affiliate sites such as Google, YouTube, and Gmail are currently non accessible, with many receiving error messages when trying to refresh, access or log on to Gmail or Google Docs and other services.

Outage site DownDetector reveals that the problems may have started at approximately 8am GMT today, which has continued to persist. Downdetector tweeted this: “User reports indicate Google Play is having problems since 7:01 AM EST”

The issues with the online services are being reported across Europe, while in the UK, it is currently localized to London and the South East. Complaints have also been noted in Australia, the east coast of the US and areas of Africa, South America and Asia.

Since the problem was first reported, more than 50,000 users have also logged YouTube issues on Downdetector, with some voicing concern of poor video quality, while others cannot enter their accounts on the site at all.
