Several countries all over the world declared on Sunday their infections, deaths, and recoveries related to the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours.

France reported 2,855 new cases over the past 24 hours, pushing the caseload up to 5,740,665. It also listed 13 deaths, taking the total mortalities to 110,420. The French government has begun the second phase of easing precautionary measures imposed a month ago to curb the spread of the pandemic. Under the new move, cafes and restaurants are allowed to serve customers indoors. However, the curfew will be completely lifted on June 30 if the number of cases still drops.

Furthermore, the Mauritanian Ministry of Health announced 33 new infections and 50 recoveries in 24 hours. The new figures raised the total cases to 20,073 and deaths stood at 475. Up to 568 patients are being hospitalized, while the total recoveries hit 19,142, it added.

Meanwhile, Syria reported two fatalities and 20 new cases of COVID-19 in the corresponding period. Syria news agency (SANA) quoted health officials as saying that the death toll reached 1,810 people and overall infections up to 24,814.

In Tunis, Tunisia’s Health Ministry said that it recorded 79 deaths and 1,861 new cases of COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours. A statement by the ministry revealed that 13,515 deaths have been confirmed, while cases rose to 368,908 with 321,485 recoveries.
