The General Fire Force rescued a girl who tried to commit suicide by throwing herself off the Jaber Bridge into the sea, a local daily reported. The Ministry of Interior operations room received a report about a girl who parked her car on the Jaber Bridge, then got out of the vehicle and jumped off into the sea.
The marine officers immediately responded and went to the communication site utilizing boats and divers. After a search that lasted about a quarter of an hour in the sea, the victim was recovered and hauled back to the bridge deck. The victim of undisclosed nationality was then handed over to the emergency medical team and taken to Al-Sabah Hospital where she was admitted to the intensive care unit.
