The Ministry of Health (MoH) has launched on Sunday, in coordination with the Fire Department, a home delivery service to ensure that patients from all public hospitals and specialized centers in the country can receive their medicines.
Patients can phone or send a message through the WhatsApp to the pharmacy of the hospital or the specialized center in the morning, which has the patient’s medical file. It will be reviewed and crosschecked via WhatsApp the name and the civil number as well as the File number, home address, and phone number along with the medicine list.
The next step is the verification of the information, and after reviewing the medicines for chronic diseases and the patient’s history, the pharmacist prepares the drugs/medicines as per the prescriptions in the file.
The third step is delivering medicines to the patient within 72 hours, and making sure the patient is at home to receive the medicines, and answer questions.
