German police in Bavaria reported that they suspect that a German-Iraqi woman, with the help of her accomplice, killed a young woman who looked like her in order to pretend that she was dead.

According to the German police, the 23-year-old Iraqi woman committed the crime in order to be able to hide “due to family problems,” according to what was reported by “Agence France-Presse”, Tuesday, reports Al-Rai daily.

On August 16, 2022, the body of a 23-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in a car in Ingolstadt (Bavaria, southern Germany).

Investigators initially believed that the victim was the owner of the car after her family confirmed her identification, but the next day, after an autopsy, it became clear that the victim was another woman and that the alleged victim was alive.

Ingolstadt police investigations showed that the young woman, who is still alive, arranged the murder plot with the help of her partner from Kosovo, who is also 23 years old.

The suspects are still in pre-trial detention since last August.

The newspaper “Süddeutsche Zeitung” quoted an investigator as saying that the young woman who was chosen was very similar to the suspect.

The suspect and her partner went to the Heilbronn region (south) to pick up the selected young woman from her home. On the way back, the victim was lured out of the car and killed in the woods with a ‘multitude’ of stab wounds. The suspects then continued to Ingolstadt, where the body was found on the evening of August 16 in the car.
