The General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development revealed that the Secretariat has included new educational projects to be implemented within the list of the country’s development plan, most notably the “home education” project implemented in many countries of the world, including America, Britain, and Canada.

The sources indicated that the project is considered one of the forms of “distance education,” as it is an educational process that takes place outside the framework of the school, pointing out a pivotal and essential role for parents in this project, while the role of the school is limited to following up and evaluating the student.

The sources pointed out that the project has many goals, the most prominent of which are: supporting students’ talent and creativity, monitoring the extent to which their abilities and talents are developed and their achievement of tangible field results, accommodating a large segment of students whose surrounding circumstances require them not to commit to school attendance by providing an educational path that embraces them, and measuring the extent of the impact of this on parents and students and educational management compared to previous years, in addition to achieving flexibility in educational methods and raising the efficiency of academic achievement in accordance with international standards approved for each educational category, and providing a new path for students under the supervision of parents, which expands education options in Kuwait.

The sources stated that the project is now considered to be in the implementation phase, given that the Ministry of Education has completed much of the distance education process during the Corona pandemic, and therefore has the ability to begin implementing “home education” with all efficiency, noting that the cost of the project amounts to 150 thousand dinars, and it has been completed. 40% of its requirements, and it is expected to see the light of day in 2025.

— Accommodating those who are unable to “permanently”
— Achieving flexibility in teaching methods
— Raising the efficiency of academic achievement
— Providing a new educational path
