A citizen of an unnamed Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) state is reported to have rammed his car through the gates at the Al-Nuwaiseeb border post and entered the country after bypassing the security checkpoints.
Ministry of Interior (MoI) is said to have begun investigations after officials at the border checkpoint alerted them of the incident. After combing the area police patrols found the vehicle used in the transgression was found abandoned by the wayside, a short distance from the border post.
Concerned authorities are now reported to be examining surveillance cameras installed in the area to know how the suspect entered the country bypassing the security checkpoints in the vicinity of the port.
Informed sources have revealed that the suspect, identified as M.R.S., was born in 1988 and carries an entry ban issued by the State Security Service.
