The criminal security sector, represented by the Anti-Counterfeiting and Forgery Crimes Department, was able to seize a gang of four people of different nationalities who deluded those wishing to make a quick buck and sold them banknotes of foreign currencies for half their face value.
The Department of Public Relations and Security Media at the Ministry of Interior stated that after conducting and verifying the necessary investigations and obtaining permission from the Public Prosecution, their residence was raided and the gang members and a number of counterfeit bank notes were seized, and the accused and the seized items were referred to the competent authority to take legal action, reports a local Arabic daily.
