Philippine Charges D’ Affaires visits first day of POLO OWWA Reintegration Program

FRiENDi mobile, Kuwait’s latest addition to mobile sim cards in the market will be providing a three-month sponsorship to CEE Network Lifestyle Workshops Re-Integration Programs for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Kuwait and in cooperation with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). The program provides information on the services and privileges of being active member of OWWA, Social Security System and Pag Ibig Fund. The programs and seminars will be held at the function hall of Chow King every Friday or Saturday. Philippine CDA Hon. Jose Cabrera III visited the first day of the event.

In his brief speech, Hon, Cabrera mentioned that OFWs should not remain as foreign workers but strive to better their lives by saving though their hard-earned income and to avail the services and privileges of the government attached agencies. He also assured OFWs of the unwavering support of the Philippine Embassy to the OFWs needs and refuted hearsays of Embassy’s failure to aid OFWs. He also gave his direct mobile number to everyone present during the event. Acting Labor Attaché Cathy Duladul also commented that the reintegration program is essential to every OFW for them to know their privileges as active members and avoid failure to renew their membership every two years.

The Re-Integration Program provides full information of different benefits of being an active member of OWWA, this includes scholarship for their children and family members, medical and death benefits, loans and more. Certificate of Attendance is awarded at the end of the seminar to all attendees and the certificate allows OFW to avail the services of OWWA. Lunch is served at the end of the seminar.

Mary Jane Nolasco, FRiENDi mobile representative to the event thanked everyone for the support of the OFWs by patronizing the product and avail of its better package.
