The chargé d’affaires of the French embassy to the country, Elisabeth Barbier, affirmed that the French embassy in Kuwait is working according to remote operating procedures, and in strict compliance with the measures taken by the Kuwaiti authorities, including to allow a very limited presence of clients at the embassy.

She added that the embassy activities are continuing, with the organizing of internal meetings with Kuwaiti officials through videoconferencing, and explained that with regard to consular activity and visa requests more specifically, the applications will be processed once the Schengen area is opened for non-European citizens.
