French Ambassador H.E. Claire LeFlecher, expressed her country’s conviction that the cause of Ukraine is just and deserves full support of the world community. She also praised Kuwait’s early, clear and decisive support for the Ukrainian people.
The ambassador was quoted in local media as saying at a gathering, “We are all gathered here to express deep feelings of sadness and sympathy for the unjustified destruction and atrocities suffered by the Ukrainian people, who became victims of the barbaric unjustified aggression on their country”.
She added that Ukraine’s territorial integrity, the identity of its citizens and even its existence as a free and sovereign state are all in danger, as happened to Kuwait 30 years ago, when it was invaded by a powerful and brutal neighbor.
She expressed her conviction that Ukraine would eventually triumph, because it was fully mobilized to defend its territory and existence, in many different ways.
