The Central Bank of Kuwait has asked all Kuwaiti banks and branches of foreign banks to freeze deposited funds and reveal bank secrecy about 5 accounts of people, including 3 Kuwaitis and two Emiratis, as well as 4 companies, including a real estate, consulting, advertising and marketing company.

Informed sources revealed to Al-Rai that the Public Prosecution requested the details of funds deposited in all local bank accounts of Emiratis, 3 real estate and consulting companies, and others in a family name, on the background of the case of counting public funds.

The decision also included any other securities deposited in those accounts or in investment funds with the stock market. The directive also included the disclosure of banking secrecy on the covered accounts for more than a year, specifically in the period between 2011 and 2012.
