The Kuwait Court of Cassation sentenced a former Kuwaiti ambassador to an Asian country to imprisonment for 7 years with hard labor. He was found guilty of embezzlement of money to the tune of KD 290,000 ($1 million).
The ambassador along with the accountant was found guilty of embezzlement the large sum after investigations revealed that money spent on hotels and donations was siphoned off.
