The Ministry of Public Works is expected to announce a project in the sanitary engineering sector in August regarding programs, designs, and projects to improve the sanitary infrastructure in the country. According to Al-Anbaa, the project aims to contract with international project management companies to coordinate with project authorities and overcome any administrative, financial, or technical obstacles that could hinder progress. The companies will also provide alternatives and solutions to problems with design, supervision, implementation, and project management.

Moreover, one of the project’s objectives is to provide technical support to avoid change orders, claims, or delays in projects. This will be done by reviewing schedules, determining any reasons for delays, and developing administrative systems according to international standards. In addition, the project will provide training and transfer of expertise for professional skills development. The contract for the project will have a duration of 60 months.
