The General Organization for Social Insurance has announced the establishment of a new rehabilitation health treatment center for retirees in Kuwait, which is slated to open in the coming months, reported Al-Jarida Daily.

The initiative was launched in response to the royal directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who has continued to express his support for retirees in Kuwait. According to the organization, this will be the first health center of its kind in Kuwait, specializing in the elderly category.

With government support, the center will aim to provide retirees with comprehensive evaluation services and personalized treatment plans that cater to their individual needs. The center, located in the Mubarak Al-Abdullah suburb, boasts a total building area of 3,000 square meters and includes all necessary facilities, such as clinics, gyms, swimming pools, physical therapy rooms, and more, all divided into three separate floors.

Additionally, it features common spaces designated for social interaction, including a restaurant and café, which will serve the center’s members. The center will be maintained by distinguished, specialized teams in various medical fields that seek to prevent age-related diseases and treat those that have already been diagnosed.

To further support the wellbeing of retirees, the center will also establish educational and social activities that promote interest in health and create an encouraging atmosphere for retirees to continue and complete their treatment plans.

At the heart of the center’s mission is a special team that will follow up on individual cases and monitor the progress of each individual’s treatment plan. This new initiative has been warmly received by the community and serves as a testament to Kuwait’s dedication to providing comprehensive healthcare for all its citizens, especially the elderly population.
