Astronomer Adel Al-Saadoun said that the first day of Eid Al-Adha is expected to fall on Tuesday, 20 July, as the month of Dhul-Hijjah will start from Sunday, 11 July,  after the sighting of the crescent, Al Qabas reported.

Al-Saadoun added in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Saturday, that the moon will conjunct with the sun at 4.17 am on Saturday, July 10, and the crescent will remain after sunset on the same day for 36 minutes.

He stated that these indicators are sufficient to see the crescent with the naked eye or easily by telescopes, and the month of Dhul-Hijjah will start on July 11, and the Arafat will be on Monday, corresponding to the 19th of July.
