On 6 February 2022, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth. To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives will take place throughout the year in the UK. The Platinum Jubilee will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the world to come together to celebrate this historic milestone.
The celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service. There will also be a competition to create a Platinum Pudding to serve to The Queen on the day of celebration, which will create a lasting reminder of The Queen’s Jubilee. The British Embassy looks forward to sharing the events that will take place in the UK and we are working with Kuwaiti partners to ensure that we will have the opportunity to join in the celebrations here in Kuwait.
