The Standing Committee for the Celebration of National Holidays and Events stated that the calendar of the country’s celebrations of the 62nd National Day and the 32nd February Liberation Day will witness rich and varied activities in cooperation with various state ministries and institutions and the private sector.

The committee said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Sunday, that at the forefront of these activities will be a fireworks display, which the public can follow in the area between the Green Island and Kuwait Towers sites on the Arabian Gulf Street, reports Al-Rai daily.

The committee added the fireworks show will be accompanied by a number of entertainment activities using the latest technology, including laser, sound and light shows through the water screens that will decorate the Kuwait Towers and explained that the celebrations will also include an air show and another for drones, in addition to displays of military equipment and mechanisms and for impact management, in addition to performances by the musical bands of the Ministry of Interior, the Kuwaiti Army and the National Guard.

The sources added, the celebrations also include the holding of a firefighting exhibition and marine boat shows, in addition to Kuwaiti and Gulf folklore groups presenting their authentic folklore performances throughout the days of the celebrations.

The committee stated that activities will be presented to the people at the Yom Al-Bahhar Heritage Village, the Green Island, the Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center, the Winterland Project, and others. The sources pointed out that all of these efforts come to express the joy of the people of Kuwait on these two national occasions under the banner of our dear homeland and the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad.
