The Criminal Court sentenced a firefighting employee to 15 years in prison and ordered him to pay 4 million dinars in fine for collecting from the government two million dinars in salaries over two years in violation of the Civil Service Commission system and illegally raising the value of his salary.
A local Arabic daily said the firefighting service at that time had condemned the incident and formed a committee to investigate the fraud.
