The field sectors of the Ministry of Interior have been mobilized, in view of the rains lashing the country, to provide assistance to those stranded on the roads, and to organize traffic on some roads, because many traffic lights are said to be not functioning.

A security source said told Al-Qabas, the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior has received several reports about complete disruption of some traffic signals and the closure of some internal streets.

The operations room has rushed emergency field security teams to the affected areas to organize traffic and help other authorities.

Moreover, a fire source said the firefighting teams dealt with 45 reports, most of them in Jahra and Farwaniya and that no deaths or serious injuries have been recorded.

The Directorate-General of Fire Department has called on citizens and residents to stay away from water gathering places, stressing that all fire stations are ready to deal with any emergency.

The DGFD has also appealed to sea-goers not to venture out into the sea because of the unstable weather conditions and also appealed to all people to follow up on the weather through official websites.
