One person was injured during a rescue operation by firemen after some people were trapped following a blaze on the fifth floor of a 8-story residential building in Farwaniya Friday afternoon.
The Department of Public Relations and Information in the Fire Department stated that the Central Operations Department directed firefighting engines from Farwaniya and Jleeb firefighting centers to the site of the incident and firemen as a precautionary measure evacuated the residents of the building before putting out the fire.
The injured person was handed over to emergency medical personnel. The fire reduced the apartment to ashes.
