The Dutch Coast Guard announced the death of a crew member of a cargo ship carrying cars from Germany that was on its way to Egypt. Several others were injured after a fire broke out in the car carrier off the Dutch coast.

The British newspaper “Daily Mail” reported that rescue helicopters and boats were able to evacuate 23 crew members from the Fremantle Highway registered in Panama, a ship carrying nearly 3,000 cars weighing 18,500 tons.

At least 7 of the crew jumped into the sea and were rescued from the water, while the rest were airlifted by helicopter. The crew tried to put out the fire themselves, but they failed. Unfortunately, one person died and several others were injured.
